“AI and the Digital Economy: Opportunity or Threat?”
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are changing the very basic nature of how we work, regardless of the field, we are in. As a result, engineers and technologists are often asking themselves one of two questions:  the first is in the form of a threat – when machines and algorithms start performing more cognitive tasks, will my skills and experience become less relevant? The second is in exploring opportunities in the digital economy – What new skills should I acquire to excel and succeed in the age of AI? Rajiv Anand, who having transitioned from a long-term traditional engineering career to an AI-focused career and considers himself a “digital immigrant” will share how best to leverage your existing education and skills to thrive in the digital economy.

“Artificial Intelligence as a measure of Identity”
Artificial intelligence is used today in so many different ways to improve the lives of individuals, increase efficiency and make our lives easier – from playing music from our phones without even clicking a button, to helping us improve our spending habits. What about when it comes to identity? With a background in biometrics and identity, Director of AI and Security @ BioConnect, Pritesh Patel is obsessed with understanding the impact of artificial intelligence on identity. The biggest struggle with identity measures today is that they are based on 0 and 1 decision-making protocols – do you have the right card or the right password? 0-wrong, 1-right; However, identity isn’t static, it’s context-based. As human beings, we can identify each other leveraging prior history because with that history comes learnings, knowledge and data. Join Pritesh as he shares his insights on how artificial intelligence is being used as an identity measure, in a way that makes our digital lives safer and more efficient.
